…so in January, I tried a technique for burning-in the basket design that actually was NOT burning in the “spoke” lines prior to executing the creative direction. Just couldn’t get it done. Last night (4 months later), I took another stab at the technique and success! This technique results in a more elegant refinement in design execution as there are no burn marks other than those directly related to the individual creative direction. Nice to have a tangible example of progress <grin>. The design motif can be traced to the Pima tribe and squash-blossom basketry historic examples. Here, the front along required 25,000+ burns. All natural, no coloring dye.
