Colorado master gardener, Dale, and her fine art photographer husband David combined with a requests to create this “Koi” platter as celebration for the pond/fish in their front yard. Challenging as the design steps outside the typical woven approach. The result worked after experimentation and trial tests. You can see the sequence below… from original sketch/approval – to the completed platter just finished at the coloring bench – (UPDATE: 4/3) and then as it’s displayed at D&D’s home (notice the small “egg” in the last picture also – more about that later).
