First outdoor show for the season was a grand success.  Great festival, great new friends, great sales;  next up will be Loveland and “Sculpture in the Park” Aug 11-13.  Hoping all our Denver-area friends will be able to swing by and enjoy this very unusual sculptural exhibition.

    Amazing art and artists.  Honored by a 3rd place finish in a field of 29 wood-category amazing artists.  Just blown away by the event, our hosts, new friends and all those that visited our booth to experience the “wood my way…”.  Can’t wait for next year!

Hitting the road to Jackson Hole WY as one of the featured, juried artists invited to exhibit at the Western Design Conference.  Seriously prestigious event and artist community.  Honored.  I’ll have 50+ fine art wood carvings on display/for sale.  Will be a great test and notable highlight for 2017 in which my artwork was juried

 125 juried artists will be featured at this year’s Western Design Conference art exhibition and festival:  Jackson Hole WY starting 9/6.  Honored to be among those with artwork selected.  I’ll be showing/selling.

  Liking where this is going… combines high-voltage (12,000V) woodburning of the center medallion with traditional Spoke/Ring carving in a Squash Blossom pattern.  Probably will add additional small elements and some color.  The center burn technique is often (mistakenly) called a “fractal” pattern.  It’s similar but not a true fractal (where patterns repeat them selves

  Denver customer comissioned production of wall art, will select 8 from a collection of 11 (maybe will take all?);  adds to his existing two.  The turning and carving are done, now just have to finish the decoration.  July 7 delivery deadline.

Very successful “beta test” in prep for the September Western Design Conference booth and fine art festival upcoming in Jackson Hole WY.  Saturday’s street fair in Denver provided great feedback, a chance to test out artwork placement, signage, pitch story as well as set-up/take-down.  Plus, actually sold a few pieces beyond expectation.  Shared booth space
