First exploration combining high-voltage burns w/traditional carving…

  Liking where this is going… combines high-voltage (12,000V) woodburning of the center medallion with traditional Spoke/Ring carving in a Squash Blossom pattern.  Probably will add additional small elements and some color.  The center burn technique is often (mistakenly) called a “fractal” pattern.  It’s similar but not a true fractal (where patterns repeat them selves

Denver street fair success: six pieces sold, lots of great learning.

Very successful “beta test” in prep for the September Western Design Conference booth and fine art festival upcoming in Jackson Hole WY.  Saturday’s street fair in Denver provided great feedback, a chance to test out artwork placement, signage, pitch story as well as set-up/take-down.  Plus, actually sold a few pieces beyond expectation.  Shared booth space
